Feed & fortify
Immune and skin route through Nourish and Defend — the phases where the gut ecosystem feeds the body's defence layer. Feed & Fortify is the entry bundle.
Why Immune + Skin + Inflammation routes through the gut.
70% of the immune system lives in or adjacent to the gut. When the gut ecosystem is depleted, the immune layer is reading from a depleted source. Skin is the visible read-out.
Gut-associated lymphoid tissue (GALT) sits adjacent to the gut lining and is where most of your immune cells are trained, tolerised, and released. The microbes in your gut educate these cells daily — what to ignore, what to flag, when to escalate.
When the microbiome is depleted, the immune layer drifts. It over-responds to things it shouldn't (allergies, skin flares, autoimmune drift) and under-responds to things it should (slow-clearing colds, recurring infections). Skin shows it first because skin is the body's other major immune barrier and the two are in constant conversation.
Inflammation is the common currency. Low-grade, ambient, hard-to-name — it's the immune system's volume turned up on a long-running setting. The MEND Method's Nourish and Defend phases work directly here: Prebiotic Syrup feeds the strains that produce anti-inflammatory short-chain fatty acids, and Immuno Protein supports the barrier and the defence layer simultaneously.
Three decades of research, summarised honestly.
We do not make medical claims for Progurt products. We do report what the underlying research shows about the gut's role in this concern — and why we built the protocol the way we did.
30 years of clinical research underpins the MEND Method. The Human Probiotic Isolates™ in our Establish products were developed from research into human-origin strains and their role in immune education, lining integrity, and inflammation modulation.
the research is the receipt.
These studies support the mechanism — they do not constitute medical claims about Progurt products. Progurt supports immune and skin function via the upstream gut-terrain pathway; results vary; not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease. 01
Gut microbiome composition correlates with skin barrier function.
Diverse, fibre-fed microbiota correlate with lower skin inflammation markers and improved barrier integrity in controlled studies.
— J. Investigative Dermatol., 2022 -
02
Human-origin strains shape immune tolerance differently to foreign strains.
Strains from human gut isolates show distinct immune-training profiles versus dairy- or soil-derived probiotics in vitro and in vivo.

03
Short-chain fatty acids reduce ambient inflammation markers.
Butyrate and propionate, both produced by gut flora when fed prebiotic fibre, reduce circulating IL-6 and TNF-α in multiple human trials.
— Gut, 2020 · Nature Communications, 2022 -
04
Lining integrity precedes immune normalisation.
When the gut lining tightens, downstream immune signalling normalises within 6–12 weeks in most participants — the order matters.

How Immune + Skin + Inflammation moves through the MEND Method.
Each phase carries weight differently for Immune + Skin + Inflammation. The lead phase is where most customers start; off phases either come later or are optional.
-
Mineralise
Optional. Some Immune + Skin customers benefit from a brief Mineralise prep, but it's not the lead.
Phase page -
Establish
Optional. Establish helps if there's a digestive layer concern alongside. Otherwise not the lead.
Phase page -
Nourish · lead
Where Immune + Skin starts. Prebiotic Syrup feeds the strains that produce anti-inflammatory SCFAs. Enzymes optimise flow.
Phase page -
Defend
The carry-through. Immuno Protein supports the barrier and defence layer long-term.

One protocol.
Every concern.
Immune + Skin + Inflammation routes through the same MEND Method as the other five concerns. Your symptoms are downstream signals of an upstream depletion we can address.
